See More, Fly Safely
The sights, the timing and the safety routine behind every flight.
01 What You’ll See
What can you see on a Bali helicopter tour?
Coastline, cliff temples, rice terraces and volcanoes. How many depends on your flight time — 30, 60 or 90 minutes from DPS heliport.
Can I see Uluwatu Temple?
Yes. The temple sits on a cliff about 70 m above the sea, and it is on even the shortest southern-coast flights.
Is Tanah Lot on the route?
It can be. The sea temple on Bali’s west coast is often combined with the southern coast on shorter flights.
Will I see the rice terraces?
Yes, on inland routes. Tegallalang’s terraces belong to Bali’s subak landscape, listed by UNESCO in 2012, and the pattern is clearest from above.
Can I see the volcanoes?
Mount Batur (1,717 m) and its crater lake are on 60-minute routes. Mount Agung (3,031 m) needs the longer 90-minute flight.
What about Nusa Penida?
Longer routes cross the strait to Kelingking, the T-Rex shaped cliff, and the coast around it.
02 Season & Light
When is the best season for a Bali helicopter tour?
The dry season, April to October, gives the clearest skies and most reliable visibility for aerial views.
Can I fly in the wet season?
Yes. From November to March, afternoons are more likely to cloud over, so a morning slot and a flexible date help.
What time of day has the best light?
Morning and late afternoon. The light is softer, shadows show the terrain, and morning air is usually the calmest.
Is midday a bad time to fly?
Not bad, but flatter. Haze can build around midday, so photographers usually prefer early or late slots.
03 Safety
Is a Bali helicopter tour safe?
Flights run under DGCA oversight with commercially licensed pilots, maintenance to manufacturer schedules, and a weather check and briefing before every flight.
What does the safety briefing cover?
Seatbelts, exits, emergency procedures, how to board and leave the aircraft, and how to talk to the pilot.
Why do you ask for passenger weights?
Every helicopter must be loaded within its weight and balance limits. Your weights let us seat everyone correctly.
What happens if the weather turns?
The pilot can adjust the route or decide not to fly. If a flight cannot go ahead, we reschedule with you.
04 Booking Basics
How do I book?
Message our concierge on WhatsApp or email with your date and group size. Book at least 48 hours ahead.
How much does it cost?
It depends on aircraft, duration, seat or charter, and extras. Our Tour Cost page explains each factor, and we quote every request.
How many people can fly together?
Up to 5–6 guests in a Bell H125, or up to 3 in a Robinson R66. For larger groups, ask our concierge.
Can I customise the route?
Yes, on a private charter — within safety limits and air traffic control approval.
